Letting Your Children Go!

Author Unknown

When is it time to let your children grow up? When is it time to let them live their lives? When is it time to just let go?

Being a parent letting go isn't easy, things aren't the way they use to be when we as kids were growing up. It was safe to play outside, and not worry about someone grabbing you or showing you their private part's.

It was safe leaving you children with a babysitter, or your next door neighbor and not worry if they are being abused, or being molested.

It was safe letting your children walk to school.

Not theses days you can't even send your children to school anymore and it being safe. Not only do you have to worry about other children.

You have to worry about the adults taking advantages of your children. What’s the world becoming?

I have children going to High School and you wouldn’t
Believe the things they come home and tell me.

Their teacher's talk to them about their marriage, children, sex life etc. I was surprised at that . .

Of course it wouldn't do any good to report this because it's their word against their's.

And as we know the school is going to keep a hush mouth about it anyway. So from then on your child will be label as a trouble maker.

They will try every thing they can to make your child's years at the school a nightmare.

I remember when I was going to school if you look like you wanted to misbehave in school, you better believe your parents know about it.

So when you got home. you where punished. Parents’ and teachers communicated back then. They were looking out for your children, not taking advantage of them.

If you didn't learn what you, where suppose to be learning in their class, guess what you would have them back the next year.

So when is it time to let them go? As of today with them being grown up, I still find myself telling them what to do and not to do. I find it funny because my parents try to do the same with me also. So I guess you can never let them go.

There is nothing like a mother's love keeping children close and loved no matter what age they are. I agree with all of what you have written.
