Do Children Have It Better?

Do children today have it better then we did? I think they do, when I was growing up going outside was a, privilege if you where not grounded.
The only time you where watching televison was when the
weather was bad,or a special show was coming on. But most of the time we where happy to go outside.
In today's world all the children see are dollar signs what can they spend your money on next,cell phones,video games, the latest clothing,shoes etc.
What happen to saying no to our children of today? I work in retail and I thought that I had seen it all. Until a customer came to pay out, and her child had a item that needed to be scan, she said's to me can you just type in the price? I said," no I have to scan the item".
She tell's me, if I take it from her she will start crying, So I'm looking at her as to "say ok who's the parent here"? Well she went back and got the same item so that I could scan it . Right then and there I knew who was in charge,by the way this child was at least 2 years of age. S0 yes they have it better then we do.
I thought to myself lady you are in a world of trouble at 2 years of age this child has control over you already.
Some of these parents today think that the things they children do at a early age are cute, but there not.
I look at some of my customer they come in the store open up items and start eaten it,don't they realize that's stealing. Regardless that they are going to pay for it on there way out stealing is stealing you didn't pay for that item before you consume it. That's letting your children think it;s ok to go in a store a just grab something and open it up with out paying for it first.
What is that teaching our children? I see it all the time.
Children hitting there parent's cursing,backtalking I could go on and on. When I was growing up you better not look like you wanted to say anything back at your parents
or a adult,you better belive you wouldn't be able to talk to anyone else for a while. So yes they have it better then we do?
